Question by Bandit: Where could I buy a barebones laptop? I already have alot of parts and an OS.?
I don’t want to pay for for stuff I already have by buying a full laptop. I read an article in PC magazine talking about barebones laptops a few years back but I haven’t heard about them since.

They really dont make them. Laptop shells are designed to perfectly contain the design of the motherboard and other components, thus reducing size and weight.
Just use your spare Hard Drive as an external portable drive by buying a drive enclosure, and buy a laptop with minimal RAM and use your spare RAM as an upgrade for it.
There really is no other parts that are interchangeable, short of an MXM video card, but you will have to find a laptop that uses MXM if you have a space MXM card.
What other parts could you possibly have? Motherboard? Wont fit in any laptop other than the one it was designed for…
CPU? Dont bother, you wont be able to find a heat pipe that will fit in any shell other than the one it was designed for…
