Question by j.mustapha: what pixel size should I use for an image i’m photoshoping to fit a 19 inch widescreen laptop?
I’m trying to design a wallpaper on photoshop, but I dont know what size to set the image at in order for it to fit my 19 inch widescreen monitor on my laptop.

Regardless of your monitors’ size, it depends on your screen resolution. Screen resolution is the W,H amount (in pixels) of your monitor. To see your screens’ resolution, follow these steps:
1) Click Start
2) Click Control Panel
3) Double-Click Display
4) Click the “Settings” tab
5) Look in the “Screen Resolution” box, it will have something like “1024 by 768 pixels” or (in my case) “1600 by 1200 pixels” — This is your screens’ resolution (and in which you should create your wallpaper)
However, as a little side note, you should always create wallpapers that are 1600×1200 (or even higher) so it will be more compatible with other users with higher resolutions than what you have, such as me!
