no, u would hav to get an old computer or buy a new one and hav to pay someone to take vista off and put xp on because they only sell new computers with vista now.

My laptop had 1 GB memory RAM and I replaced it with 2GB for faster performance. The system properties still shows 1GB as total memory. I definitely feel the positive effect and my laptop seems to be faster after the upgrade. But why is the system properties still show 1GB? Any pointers?? Do I need to reinstall the memory to ensure both slots are working and that both are powering the laptop?? Thanks.
p.s. i have windows vista.

There are two ways I know off.
Go to: piriform.com they have 4 programs for free, each will help you, and one of the four will
show you the details of your ram and will show the 1GB OR 2 GB.
The other is in yahoo gatgets gallary. google it. I have a side bar gatget that constantly gives me
a ram activity on two cores, and the total ram read outs but they have others with more cores.
There’s a way of course with the computer too, but I just don’t bother, because I have this other two
ways of doing it.

I am a complete newb when it comes to electronics and I was wondering what the difference is between the apple laptops that are white and the ones that are silver. The white ones are like plastic on the outside and the silver ones are like metal. My brother bought a silver one for university. Is there a difference in price between the white and silver…also do they even sell the white ones anymore? I couldn’t find them on the website.

Regardless of your monitors’ size, it depends on your screen resolution. Screen resolution is the W,H amount (in pixels) of your monitor. To see your screens’ resolution, follow these steps:
1) Click Start
2) Click Control Panel
3) Double-Click Display
4) Click the “Settings” tab
5) Look in the “Screen Resolution” box, it will have something like “1024 by 768 pixels” or (in my case) “1600 by 1200 pixels” — This is your screens’ resolution (and in which you should create your wallpaper)
However, as a little side note, you should always create wallpapers that are 1600×1200 (or even higher) so it will be more compatible with other users with higher resolutions than what you have, such as me!

im getting a core i3 laptop, asus, and its within my budget, then i saw another laptop with exactly same specs, same graphic card, same ram same everything etc etc.except its core i5. both the one i want and the core i5 i saw was both 2.53 ghz, so whats the difference? how would the core i5 be better?

The i5 processor is better because it was designed for more heavy use, i.e. games and other heavy applications, while the i3 processor is designed for office use. (note: I answered with an i5 laptop)

You can get a DVI and DVI audio cable that transmits sound and audio from your laptop to your TV, Thats providing your TV has a DVI slot for video and audio. Almost any laptop can be hooked up to most TV’s
